Become a Pokemon GO Master With These Hacks, Tips, Tricks and Secrets

As it is right now, Pokemon Go doesn’t offer a great explanation about what it is. There are simple tips here and there, but it feels like you’re dropped somewhere and left to catch them all without an explanation. In order for you to not waste any time figuring the game out and start it with a few tricks up your sleeve, we’re here to help you out.

Here are a few Tips, Tricks, Hacks and Secrets for Pokemon Go:

When you first hop in the game, you get to choose your starter Pokemon, Squirtle, Charmander and Bulbasaur, however, sometimes only one of three starters show up. If you’re looking for a specific one just go for a walk, it will eventually show up. There is a little secret that very few people know, it’s about the fourth starter Pokemon, and of course, it’s Pikachu. To get him don’t pick any of the three and keep on walking, after a short time Pikachu will show up.

pokemon go tracker

Tracking is difficult because there is no explanation for it. When you catch your starter you’ll have a box in your bottom left corner with three shadows on it. If you click on it a window will show up with more shadows on it. The shadows are Pokemon which aren’t indexed in your Pokedex. When you catch a few, they’ll show up with an image.

If you want to focus on catching something specific, open the window and press on it. The paws represent the distance, and three mean it’s pretty far, two paws mean it’s a walk away, and one means it’s in the area. When moving in the right direction the box in the bottom left will pulsate green.

pokemon go hatching

Sometimes Pokestops will give you eggs. When you hatch these eggs you’ll get Pokemon. There are three types 2.0 KM, 5.0 KM, and 10.0 KM eggs, these will hatch common, uncommon and rare Pokemon, respectively.

Manipulating Eevee’s Evolution

If you have enough to evolve your Eevee, you don’t want to leave it to chance which eeveelution you get. So there is a little secret with which you can manipulate which one you get. Naming your Eevee, Sparky, Rainer or Pyro will manipulate the outcome and you’ll get Jolteon, Vaporeon, or Flareon, respectively. This is a throwback to the original show, just keep in mind that this is not a 100% sure way, there is still a little chance that you’ll get the other two randomly.
